Concept of GB4237/4238 00Cr17Ni14Mo2

GB4237/4238 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 Concept and characteristics:

00Cr17Ni14Mo2 is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel with an extremely low carbon content, which helps to improve its corrosion resistance, especially in the resistance to intergranular corrosion. This stainless steel has excellent welding properties, suitable for multi-layer welding, no knife edge corrosion tendency after welding. In addition, it also has good corrosion resistance to a variety of media such as sulfite, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, formic acid, chloride, halogen and sulfite and so on have good resistance.

Chemical composition of GB4237/4238 00Cr17Ni14Mo2:

The main chemical components of the stainless steel include chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S). Its content range is roughly: chromium (Cr) 17.0%~19.0%, nickel (Ni) 8.0%~10.0%, molybdenum (Mo) 2%~3%, silicon (Si) ≤1.00%, phosphorus (P) ≤0.20%, sulfur (S) ≤0.15%. At the same time, it also contains a small amount of selenium (Se), the content is between 0.15% and 0.35%.

GB4237/4238 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 Delivery status:

This stainless steel is usually delivered in a heat-treated state, the specific type of heat treatment will be specified in the contract. If there is no specific provision in the contract, delivery is usually carried out under non-heat treatment conditions.

GB4237/4238 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 Application:

Because 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and good processing properties, it has a wide range of applications in many fields. Especially in the chemical industry, its corrosion resistance has been fully developed. In addition, the stainless steel is also used in the food industry and the manufacture of surgical equipment, as well as in the pipeline, chemical industry and other fields.
