Australia makes final ruling on double-reverse exemption investigation on China-related precision steel pipes

According to reports, on September 12, 2022, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2022/071, stating that the Australian Department of Industry and Technology has passed the Australian Anti-dumping Commission's final recommendation for anti-dumping exemption investigations on precision steel pipes imported from mainland China and South Korea , decided not to levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved in mainland China and South Korea, and not levy anti-subsidy duties on the products involved in mainland China.

 

Exempt product descriptions are as follows: Non-alloy steel welded pipe of any of the following,

1. Single-wall resistance welding conforming to SAE J526, with all of the following conditions:

(1) The carbon content does not exceed 0.13%;

(2) The outer diameter is less than or equal to 11.50 mm;

(3) The wall thickness is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and less than or equal to 1.0 mm;

 

2. Double-wall copper brazing conforming to SAE J527 with all of the following conditions:

(1) The carbon content does not exceed 0.13%;

(2) The outer diameter is less than or equal to 13 mm;

(3) The wall thickness is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and less than or equal to 1.0 mm;

The Australian customs code for exempted products is 7306.30.00.30.
